Произведено на КМЗ. Всего было выпущено около 3 миллионов экземпляров.Были фотоаппараты типа «Зенит-10» и «Зенит-11», выпускавшиеся на Красногорском механическом заводе. Для нужд населения производство фотоаппаратов «Зенит-Э» развернуто не только на КМЗ, но и на БелОМО (завод «Вилейка Зенит»).
