A robust 75D polyester exterior protects a PU foam core that has Delta Core-V™ cut with variable core sizes that provide more warmth in the body contact areas and less where it is not needed to keep weight down. Also featuring the Sea To Summit multi-functional, high flow rate valve for easy inflation, deflation and fine tuning of the mat pressure. This one-way reversible valve also enables the use of Sea To Summit® Jetstream or Airstream pumps for easy inflation of your mat. The valve can be flipped over to allow full compression when rolling up or can be removed to allow a pump nozzle to be inserted. The Delta Core-V™ foam inner has been skeletonized to reduce weight and bulk. Using pressure-mapping data to define body contact area, the inner foam has been vertically cored to minimise weight & bulk, but provide comfort & warmth. ASTM F3340-18R-values are the industry standard of determining resistance to heat loss for sleeping mats. Sea to Summit® gets their sleeping mats independently tested at the EMPA laboratories in Switzerland. In the test, R-values (resistance to heat flow) are measured by placing a hot plate on one side of a sleeping mat and a cold plate on the other. Electronic sensors then determine how much energy it takes to keep the hot plate at a consistent body heat. As of 1 January, 2020, all Sea to Summit mats are using the new industry standard ASTM F3340-18 test to provide R-values for mats. This new method of testing the insulative properties of sleeping mats will see some changes to our previously published R-values.
