It is the smallest Oyster case watch Rolex ever made. It was made for the Canadian market. A new stainless steel Rolex is $6,000+ (plus you’ll have to pay close to $600 in sales tax). This watch is beautiful, and is selling for a fraction of that. It has been appreciating in value for half a century, it is a rare collectible, and will only continue to appreciate. WHY BUY NEW? It will also come our Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and its original ROLEX FACTORY PAPERWORK AND BOX. At the time of the detailing the manual winding Rolex signed 17 jewel movement with sweeping seconds hand, was inspected, it is running perfectly. This watch has probably never been polished since new. The case measures 23 mm wide excluding the crown (it’s a small sized lades watch). The winding crown is the original twin lock screw down crown with the Rolex logo. The crown screws down nice and tight. The coin edges on the case back shows minor slipped tool marks. The case back has never been personalized. The leather band and buckle is a new non-Rolex made generic replacement. The dial is the original dial to the watch and very nice. It does show age patina, and the luminous material is all intact. It also comes with it’s original box, its original manual / paperwork with matching serial number and the original purchase date was September 1943. The pictures have been taken from every angle and represent the watch well, in fact they are 3x magnified.
