This is our Deluxe Most Expensive Robust T-Profile HAND SANDING BLOCK that has no rubber or urethane backing pad. Our Standard Block is 1″ tall. This block is 20% taller and has a wide professional grip. This extra wide grip gives more area to grab & makes the block significantly stiffer. This block can handle aggressive production sanding. This is especially important on the extra long 48″, 60″ & 72″ long blocks. Note, these blocks are extra stiff and do not flex much. Although the shorter blocks can be used on contours, the longer blocks are designed for sanding very gradual contours and flats. Made of Ultra Light Composite Fiberboard – NEW RED COLOR. Sanding Blocks are coated with a special sealer for best adhesion of PSA, pressure sensitive adhesive sandpaper. Special Design keeps fingers from rubbing on object being sanded…..making sanding more efficient and comfortable. The removed material makes the block Light weight, reducing fatigue, making hand sanding easier and faster. Surface of Grip portion of block is smooth and comfortable to the touch, but has a grippy feel so minimum effort is required to hold the block while sanding. Use 2 3/4″ wide abrasive available in standard 16 1/2″ lengths or rolls. Use a scissors to cut to proper length depending on the best sanding block length. Great for hobbies, crafts, home remodeling, boat and yacht repair…etc. Available in the following size; 1.2″ inch tall by 2 3/4″ Wide by 5 1/2″, 6″, 8 1/4″, 10″, 12″, 16 1/2″, 20″, 24″, 33″, 40″ 48,” , 60″ & 72″ Lengths. Note, this block is not padded and does not have our “Black Closed Cell Rubber Pad” or our “Gold Urethane Pad on one side of the block. This block is also available with various pads, such as our Black Medium Soft Rubber Pad. The best material pad depends on the job and application. Note: This product is not waterproof…do not soak the block in water. Getting a little moisture on the outside of the block is not a problem…just do immerse the block in water for extended periods of time, and do not leave it outside in the rain! This tool comes in various sizes and is an excellent tool for small to large projects. Use the short blocks to sand just about anything and the longer blocks to sand floors, walls, ceilings, boats, molds etc. Use it to sand wood, painted surfaces, from projects ranging from home repair to autobody to boat repair. It is especially useful when sanding large flat areas such as sheetrock. The bottom surface of the block is extremely flat. This is a great block when a mirror flat surface is desired. The most useful and popular blocks are our 5 1/2″ to 16 1/2″ long blocks. The shorter blocks use standard size Longboard Sandpaper, 2 3/4″ wide x 16 1/2” long cut to length. The longer blocks use one or more sheets cut to proper length with a scissors…or simply use PSA abrasive on a roll. This is our low price kit and DOES NOT INCLUDE any Pressure Sensitive PSA sandpaper. We recommend 36 grit or 40 grit coarse & 80 or 100 grit medium for quick material removal. Always select open coat abrasives that can be unloaded if clogged by whacking the face of the sandpaper with a thin wire rod such as a coat hanger wire or small wooden paint stick or rod.
