In order to organize my collection, I am offering up a beautiful vintage aluminum suitcase that Zero Halliburton fans will love. Commonly known as the “red hali,” every time you see this logo, you’ll think that this bag has seen the good old days of America. Halliburton, the predecessor to Zero Halliburton, was founded in 1939. In 1959, the company was transferred to “Zero Corporation,” which had been contracted for manufacturing, and became the Zero Halliburton of today. Ten years later, it is well known that Zero Halliburton provided the lunar sample container (which was simply a standard attaché case with the inside modified) that contained the “moon rocks” brought back by Apollo 11, the first manned moon landing in 1969. It’s a long story, but this suitcase was made in America before the moon landing, during the genuine Halliburton era (manufactured before 1959) when there was no Zero. The ratchet is in good condition and closes with a nice click. Usually, red handles have a crack design, but this one does not have a crack design. The body is just the base and there is no interior. There are scratches and dents, but I think it is in good condition for something from that time. The interior is very clean! There are no major dents. The interior is especially clean. It has a key-lock system, not a three-digit lock. It is the ultimate Akahari! The moment you pick it up, you’ll want to go outside for business, travel, or whatever!
