This one that you are looking at is limited to zones 1-8 yet retains the original design from Zone VI Studios (FYI – the copyright covering Zone VI studios has been abandoned) I have been photographing for over 55 years. My main influences in photography are the black and white masters such as: Ansel Adams, Brett Weston, Alan Ross, Henry Gilpin, Richard Garrod, Al Belson and others. I have met or were taught by many of these. The Zone System, by Adams and Picker, brought us common sense control over our exposures and can still be used for today’s digital photographers. You are purchasing a self-adhesive Zone Scale VINYL label for YOUR analog Pentax Spotmeter V, III or 1/21 (1°/21°). NOW WATER-PROOF!Over the last few months I have tried various ways to make the label more water-resistant. Various clear sprays would actually cause the ink to dissolve and smear. Finally I hit on the right combo and not only is the label more water resistant, it is now water-proof! The label was attached to the inside of a plastic bag and filled with water to sit overnight. After soaking overnight the bag was emptied of the water it contained, cut open and dried. There was no bleeding seen on the label!
