The 6P14P-EV is a direct equivalent to the 7189. The 7189 is a 6BQ5 or EL84 that can handle higher plate voltages and produces a few more watts. These will work great in any circuit that calls for 7189, 6BQ5 or El84. These are the special EV version which means they were produced at extremely high standards for the Soviet military and are the best version you can get. These are a great deal, they’re much cheaper the most New Production EL84s and they were made in Reflector plant in Russia which was bought by New Sensor / Electro-Harmonix / Sovtek. Sovteks are made in the same plant. These are genuine NOS tubes but they come white-boxes because they were original bulk-packed for the Soviet military.
