We like to see a preamp deliver at least 2Vrms output unclipped to ensure it’s NOT the limiting factor in allowing the mating power amp to achieve maximum rated output levels undistorted. Based on past experiences with other Emotiva preamps, it’s likely a safe bet the MC-700 can easily deliver 2Vrms undistorted via its preamp outputs.
