Cambridge Glass Co.: 1925 Souvenir Booklet & 1951 The Art of Making Glassware. This is Monograph No. 91 in the glass study series of the Museum of American Glass in West Virginia, Ltd. This monograph includes reprints of two rare publications originally published by the Cambridge Glass Company. The first booklet includes a photographic tour of all of the departments in the factory in 1925, as well as the New York display room, over 20 full-page photographs in all. The 1951 pamphlet describes the techniques of glassmaking, including information on the chemicals used, pressing, etching, cutting, and other types of decoration. This booklet is generously interspersed with photographs of the pieces made by Cambridge in the 1950s, as well as advertisements. Compiled by Tom & Neila Bredehoft. 45 pages, illustrated throughout.
