OUTSTANDING ANTIQUE ACKERMANN & FRITZE VOLKSTEDT GERMAN DRESDEN LACE PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP. CROWN HALLMARKED. c.1945-1949 THE CRINOLINE GROUP PORTRAY COURT LIFE AND DEPICTS A MAN PLAYING PIANO AND SEATED WOMEN PLAYING A CELLO WHILE A COURTESAN COUPLE ARE DOING A MINUET. DRESSED IN ROYAL COURT CLOTHING WITH ELABORATE FLOUNCED LACE DRESSES AND SHIRTS. BASE HAS GOLD GILT EMBELLISHED ACCENTS AS WELL AS THE FIGURES. BEAUTIFUL SWEEPING COLORS HAND PAINTED ALONG WITH INDIVIDUALLY HAND ATTACHED FLOWER ACCENTS. THE DIMENSIONS OF SCULPTURE ARE APPROX 15 3/4″ IN. WIDE X 8 3/4″ IN. DEEP X 10 1/4″ IN. HIGH. ALL THE FIGURES HAVE ALL THEIR DAINTY FINGERS ATTACHED AND NON ARE MISSING OR REPAIRED. SOME FLOWERS WILL HAVE CHIP/S AS WELL AS SOME OF THE FIGURES CRINOLINE LACE. THIS IS NORMAL AND QUITE COMMON FOR PIECES OF THE ERA AND ARE NON OFFENDING AND ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR THESE TYPE OF MULTI-FIGURE SCULPTURES.THE BACK OF BASE IS HALLMARKED WITH BLUE CROWN AND COMPANY MARK. ALSO ON BACK OF BASE, THERE IS A INCISED STAMP SHOWING A NUMBER 1888. ON BOTTOM UNDERSIDE OF BASE HAS BLACK MARKINGS IN CENTER AND HAND PENCILED IN 1888 TWICE ON BORDER.
