eBay Untitled Page The Item This is a 8m (26 feet) dual Y-type passive USB cable from Alfa Network. This has one USB 5-pin mini connector on one end, and two USB type A male connectors on the other end. This is not an active repeater cable. Because USB cables lose power over distance, they either need to be active with a circuit board, or- if passive like this one- they need to have 2 USB connectors and use 2 USB ports on your computer. We find dual connector passive cables to be more effective at providing constant power over distances greater than 16 feet. This cable has a USB mini connector at the other end which fits many devices including AWUS036H, AWUS036NH, AWUS036NHR, UBDo-gt8, and UBDo-nt8. This also has special shielding to insulate against power loss- you will notice out of the package it is thicker than standard USB cables. This cannot be used in conjunction with your existing factory USB cable, it is designed to go into your computer at one end and directly into the Alfa adapter at the other end. Therefore your total distance when using this cable is 26 feet, not 26 feet + the length of your current cable. Because of it’s mini connector, it can only be used with the Alfa devices above, or other products that have a USB Mini connector. It is not compatible with standard connector USB devices like a mouse or keyboard, nor is it compatible with cell phones or hard drives that use USB micro connectors. – Operating system independent (use with Mac, Linux, Windows, even tablet computers with a compatible USB port) – USB 2.0 and 1.1 compliant – Requires 2 available USB ports on computer Shipping Options Orders will generally be shipped in one business day. US 50 States + Puerto Rico: FREE US Postal Parcel Post/First Class. This includes delivery confirmation and insurance. It can take from 3-7 days to arrive, and sometimes longer. US 50 States + Puerto Rico: $3.99 US Postal Priority Mail. This includes delivery confirmation and insurance.
