Jonckheere Transit 2000

At Busworld 1999, Jonckheere presents its new standard bus model. The Transit 2000. Bus that could be built under different types of chassis (Daf, Man, Scania and Volvo).In the years that followed, this model will be a great success because nearly 1000 copies were produced between 1999 and 2010 just for Belgium. Around 2002, the vehicle underwent a small facelift at the level of the windows. VDL will take over part of the production of the Transit 2000 around 2004 before being completely taken over by the latter in 2010. The last Transit 2000 produced will be released under the name VDL before being replaced by the Citea.
